When driving in a parking lot, one thing you should always keep in mind is that pedestrians could be any where and are totally stupid and blind.Although they aren't literaly blind and stupid, thinking like that keeps you cautious .If you keep that in mind, accidents involving pedsetrians will be rare.  You should be extra cautious, and slower than in a residental area. Your approximate speed should be 5-10 mph. You should be constatly seletively seeing. These things will keep you and others safe at almost all parking lots. For exampe, at a shopping center, you should be looking for children running around. So park well, park safe
